A heavy use watering area has been created here on a seasonal stream which flows into Sumac Creek. Over four hundred feet of the stream was protected and re-vegetated while still granting a small amount of access to the livestock for watering. These types of restorations help reduce nutrient loading while providing an economical watering area for the farmers cattle. This has also reduced the amount of sediment that goes into Sumac Creek.
