  This area is managed by the Forest Service to provide a variety of bird habitats at elevations around 3000 ft. Birders may see a variety of species along the hiking trails, some of which are very uncommon in this southern latitude, such as Crossbills. Beaver ponds are visible in this upper portion of the Mill Creek drainage, although activity was not evident during reconnaissance in the summer of 2002. Panorama taken October 25, 2000 |
