The Conasauga River watershed supports wonderful biological resources and provides an enormous amount of public recreation: canoeing, fishing, camping, and hiking. The private land sections of the river are not easily accessible and visitors should be very careful not to trespass. Many access points are available on the National Forests. Public land managers have done extensive planning and analyses to provide ways to provide excellent recreational opportunities without causing a significant impact to rare aquatic fauna or to upland wildlife. The watershed, like other parts of the National Forests in the southern Appalachians, has many outdoor recreation opportunities.
